Ultrasonic brushing (scaling)

Ultrasonic cleaning is designed to remove hard dental plaque under the influence of ultrasonic vibration of a special rod – a scaler.

The specially selected frequency and amplitude of the oscillations act directly on the boundary separating the calculus and the tooth tissue.

Benefits:

✔ removes hard dental plaque;
✔ does not damage enamel and soft tissues;
✔ possible in relation to deposits even in the most inaccessible places;
✔ prevention of periodontitis;
✔ prevention of caries.

Disadvantages:

– in some cases, local anesthesia may be required;
– does not remove soft plaque;
– contraindicated in patients in childhood and adolescence, in the early stages of pregnancy.
– contraindicated in patients with certain chronic diseases of internal organs (bronchial asthma, bronchitis, endocarditis, etc.).
