Diastema

Diastema is an anatomically incorrect arrangement of the front teeth, as a result of which a small gap from 1 to 5 mm is formed between their side walls in the upper or lower jaws. Basically, it does not interfere with proper diction and chewing of food, but in some cases it causes serious aesthetic inconvenience and mental discomfort.

In the people, such a defect is called a gap, which is why the smile, in turn, is positioned as flawed, far from its ideal.
