Tooth root removal

The root of a tooth is an area immersed under the gum in the alveolar process, usually twice as long as the crown, providing a strong hold of the unit in the hole due to adhesion to the surrounding tissues. Outside, it is covered with organic cement, which, in combination with cellular elements, forms a connective tissue (periodontium). The roots can have a very branched structure, as a result of which, in conditions of limited access and the risk of numerous complications, their treatment is one of the most difficult procedures in dentistry.
