Direct sinus lift
Open sinus lift is a surgical operation in dentistry (plasty) to artificially raise the bottom of the maxillary sinus with a special osteoplastic material to a level sufficient to implant an implant in place of a missing tooth in the upper jaw, which is performed before implantation. It should be noted that the lack of bone can be due to both physiological factors (congenital low height of the alveolar process) and pathological (destruction during the inflammatory process or resorption, for example, from wearing a prosthesis).
