Periodontosis in adults
Periodontal disease is a non-inflammatory chronic disease in dentistry, which is characterized by an infectious lesion of the tissues surrounding the teeth in the jaw socket (mucosa, gums, alveolar ridge), occurring mainly in adults. Pathology most often occurs against the background of general diseases of the body, but in some situations it can be provoked by both insufficient oral hygiene and become the result of aggressive exposure to pathogenic microflora.
