Removable retainers
A removable retainer after braces is an orthodontic construction consisting of transparent plastic and/or with a metal arc inside, installed most often on the upper teeth and less often on the lower ones to fix the result of treatment to correct the bite.
It is hardly noticeable to others, but requires a more responsible attitude of the patient, who periodically needs to remove it while eating and brushing his teeth, so as not to damage it. It is made in accordance with the individual parameters of the dentoalveolar system of patients and is worn according to the schedule recommended by the attending orthodontist: only at night or while awake during the day.
